Founded by Jonathan Lonsdale as a consultancy with the aim of providing a range of electrical design and engineering services that catered for the needs of its customers. Since its incorporation, JD Lonsdale has grown in size, strength and reputation.
Clients are varied in size and industry and we undertake work in numerous sectors including oil, gas, water, energy from waste, mining, chemicals, steel, material handling, renewables, marine and naval, power and distribution both nationally and internationally.
The evolution of the company has seen in 2017, JD Lonsdale be awarded solution partner status by ETAP signifying their excellence in the Power Systems Analysis field of electrical engineering.
As a chartered engineer Jonathan has built up a career working on numerous projects within the fields of electrical, control and instrumentation engineering, gaining experience of a wide variety of industries ranging from oil and gas to chemicals, water and steel.
Jonathan has undertaken work designing, engineering and project managing jobs for clients and is capable of providing all the required electrical services within an industrial project. These range from conceptual design, feasibility studies, power system analysis, site surveys, asset surveys and detailed design.
In 2006 Jonathan focussed on becoming a consultant engineer and founded JD Lonsdale. Whilst having an interest in all aspects of electrical engineering, Jonathan has a particular enthusiasm for the field of Power Systems Analysis and as such JD Lonsdale became a specialist electrical consultancy with a focus on the Power Analysis aspects of electrical engineering.
